Logistics Executive
Operations & Fleet Management
- Oversee and coordinate the transfer of goods from factory to DC and from DC to customer destinations.
- Prepare daily delivery plans in coordination with sales and warehouse teams; ensure effective execution.
- Monitor delivery routes and optimize them to increase delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage all company vehicles, including vans, trailers, and leased units—ensuring readiness, maintenance, and availability.
- Coordinate with 3rd-party trailer companies and vehicle leasing vendors as needed.
Team Supervision & Development
- Lead and supervise a team of professional drivers and logistics helpers; assign duties and monitor daily performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews based on KPIs such as delivery accuracy, timeliness, fuel usage, and idle time.
- Train and upgrade helpers become drivers, ensuring internal mobility and skill development.
- Instil discipline, professional behaviour, and accountability within the logistics team.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all company vehicles have valid permits, registrations, and insurance as per government requirements.
- Handle renewals, approvals, and coordination with regulatory authorities for transportation compliance.
- Maintain detailed and organized records for fleet documents, driver licenses, and compliance logs.
Planning & Analysis
- Develop and track logistics performance metrics (e.g., cost per delivery, on-time delivery rate, idle time, vehicle utilization).
- Analyse fleet data to propose improvements, cut costs, and enhance service levels.
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams to align logistics execution with business needs.
